Initial Functional Medicine Evaluation

Service Description

This is a Functional Medicine analysis that covers an in-depth review of your organ systems functioning, symptoms you are experiencing, and a targeted approach to the steps you need to take in order to most efficiently regain your health. This service offers the opportunity for patients to visit directly with Dr. Doolittle to review all the systems in the body in order to determine what organ systems may not be functioning as well as they should. This may include reviewing previous lab results, review MRI, CT, Bone Scans, or X-rays. Dr. Doolittle will discuss and address what dysfunctions are contributing to your symptoms, and what are the original causes. Patients report that it is extremely helpful to be able to see their life story laid out on paper, and knowing and understanding their health timeline brings relief in and of itself. After both the patient and Dr. Doolittle have covered in detail every contributing cause and have determined which systems of the body are compromised, Dr. Doolittle will discuss a plan to help regain and reclaim health. This may include nutrition and supplementation, dietary changes, or even referral to another specialist that may be able to contribute to the overall health goals of the patient. When patients go through this integrative assessment of their organ systems, they feel empowered in their search for optimal health because they gain a broad understanding of their own story and what steps to take toward regaining their health.
